- Consumer Affairs Commission
Promotes and protects the interests of Alameda County consumers.
Meeting time: 4:00 PM, 2nd Thursday of the month at 1221 Oak Street, Oakland
- Housing and Community Development Commission
Performs advisory functions for use of Federal funds regarding housing and community development projects in unincorporated areas of Alameda County.
Meeting time: 7:00PM, 2nd Tuesday of every other month, 224 W. Winton Ave., Hayward
- Human Relations Commission
Addresses discrimination issues in housing, employment and education.
Meeting time: 4:30 PM, 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1401 Lakeside Dr., Ste 600, Oakland
- Parks, Recreation, & Historical Commission
Advises on beaches, parks, recreation, and historical activities.
Meeting time: 3:30 PM, 1st Thursday of the month, 2950 Peralta Oaks Court., Oakland
Applicants should reside in the Second Supervisorial District (incorporated Hayward, Newark, Union City, Sunol and some of Fremont) and enjoy community service. Please see Boundaries of Dist. 2 for more detailed information.
