COMPLAINT RESOLUTION

In July 2001 the California Department of Child Support Services established a new procedure for assisting custodial parties and non-custodial parents with resolution of issues regarding their child support case. At the Alameda County Department of Child Support Services, the Ombudsperson works with custodial parties and non-custodial parents to explain their rights and responsibilities, to help resolve problems with their case, and to assist in the complaint resolution and state hearing process.
