Copiers and Fax Machines

Coin-operated photocopiers and microfiche reader-printers are available at both locations. Copies cost twenty cents ($.20) per page. The copier machines accept nickels, dimes, quarters, one-dollar bills, and five-dollar bills. A faxing service is available at the Main Library. The library charges $2.50 per page to send a fax and $1.00 per page to receive a fax.

Language Line for Translator

To expand access to reference service for non-English speaking patrons, the law library now maintains a subscription to Language Line, a telephone interpretation service. Offering interpretation service in over 170 languages, Language Line facilitates communication between staff librarians and non-English speaking patrons through a third-party interpreter. Non-English speakers seeking legal information and referrals can take advantage of this over-the-phone translation service by visiting the Reference Desk at the Main or Branch libraries, or by calling the Reference Desk at the Main Library at (510) 208-4832.
