Please contact the program to confirm that a fee waiver slot is available.

Delinquency Prevention Network Services

The Alameda County Probation Department contracts with numerous agencies that work together as the Delinquency Prevention Network. Youth Service Centers, located throughout Alameda County, offer individual and family counseling services to at-risk youth and their families. Case Management services that identify resources for youth/families are also available in addition to parental support, drug counseling, tutoring, and after-school activities.

Proposition 36 Service Providers

Proposition 36 (Prop 36) is California State Law that mandates drug treatment not incarceration for non-violent drug offenders. Alameda County Probation works with several county agencies and drug treatment programs in order to help Prop 36 clients comply with this law. Alameda Counties Behavioral Health Care Service (BHCS) approves the treatment providers and assesses the Prop 36 clients for appropriate placement. After being placed on probation the clients meet with a BHCS assessor and are directly referred to the most appropriate drug program from their list of treatment providers.

EPSDT Resources

There are a number of Community-Based Organizations that contract with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Service to provide services to youth on Probation. Services include counseling and case management services related to behaviors that put youth at-risk and skill building that addresses challenges such as relationships, communication, anger management, difficult adjustments, and parenting. Youth must have full-scope Medi-Cal to be eligible although some agencies have other funding sources that allow them to provide the service.
