Oversight Committee

We are looking for representatives to serve on the County's Measure A1 Citizen Oversight Committee. We are inviting nominations of people from the following groups: Residents of Subsidized Housing, Faith Communities, the Alameda County City Managers Association, the League of Women Voters of Alameda County and a resident of District 5.

The Measure A1 Citizens' Oversight Committee is a volunteer body mandated by the Measure A1 Bond Measure and empowered by the Board of Supervisors to annually review past expenditures of A1 Bond funds for compliance with the ballot measure. Committee members can expect to attend regular public meetings and review annual reports to review expenditures.

Oversight Committee meetings are normally held at 9:30 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room, Room 160, at 224 W. Winton Avenue in Hayward, CA 94544. During Shelter In Place all meetings are held via teleconference. Please see the agenda for instructions on accessing the meetings via computer or telephone. All regular meetings are open to the public.

Our Mandate

"Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee: A Citizen's Oversight Committee will be established to review the annual report each year to ensure that bond proceeds are being spent in compliance with this ballot measure."

Who We Are
