First, we thank you, our dedicated County employees for your perseverance and service over the past two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. We applaud your resilience, innovation, and productivity at work while also protecting the health and safety of your colleagues and continuing to provide essential public services to our diverse communities. It was no small task, and you have demonstrated dedication and commitment to public service every day.

Heroes Premium Pay

Therefore, in recognition of the challenges placed upon essential workers during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, on July 12, 2022, the Board authorized the award of a $1,500 one-time Heroes premium pay for eligible employees. All full-time; part-time; Services-as-Needed; and Temporary Assignment Pool ("TAP")* employees who were active and continuously employed during the pay period beginning May 30, 2021, through pay period ending May 28, 2022 ("covered period"); and in active status for the pay period ending June 25, 2022, are eligible for this payment.
