Application

We are accepting applications for Youth Leadership 2010-2011 from high school juniors and seniors attending Alameda County schools. Applications must be received by Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the County Administrator's Office, 1221 Oak Street, Room 555, Oakland, CA 94612.

35 students will be accepted into the Academy selected by first-come, first-served by geographic area - the goal is to get balanced representation from the cities, supervisorial districts and schools within the County.

The sessions are held in different facilities throughout Alameda County from 9 am - noon on the following Saturday mornings: October 2, October 30 and November 13, 2010 and January 8 and January 29, 2011.

To graduate from the Academy, participants must attend four of the five Saturday morning sessions, attend the final session on January 29, 2011 and complete a team project.
