Sade Daniels was inducted into the Youth category in 2007.
Sade entered the foster care system at age 13. Despite the difficulties this life presented, she worked hard in school and rose during her teen years to be a leading voice for reforms in the foster care system to better enable youth in the system to prepare for college, and for adulthood success. Sade, a resident of Oakland, has helped shape public policy by leading research teams to assess group home conditions and offer policy recommendations. She also has been a mentor and inspiration to other foster youth. Sade is a student at Sojourner Truth Academy in Oakland and plans to attend Clark Atlanta University in the fall.
