Sue Doro was inducted into the Non-Traditional Careers category in 2007.
Sue Doro of Oakland was nominated by the Tradeswomen, Inc., which represents women in the building and construction trades and other non- traditional occupations. She is a machinist who sought out training and developed her skills at a time when few women worked in this field. Her tenacity and spirit were rewarded with the position of machinist in two different manufacturing companies and the Milwaukee Railroad. Ms. Doro has written several books including "Blue Collar Goodbyes," and nine volumes of "Pride and a Paycheck."
