Maria G. Hernandez, Ph.D. was inducted into the Health Category in 2019.
Maria is President of Impact4Health, an Oakland consulting firm that leverages innovation, strategy and community engagement to address healthcare disparities. She is also lead consultant for the Alameda County Pay for Success Asthma Initiative, which addresses high asthma rates in lower-income communities. Maria serves on the Board of Trustees for the Alameda Health System, the region’s leading public health care provider and medical training institution. In addition, she brings expertise and entrepreneurial verve to several diversity and inclusion initiatives, including the InclusionSCORECARD for Population Health to assist hospitals and other health providers in addressing the needs of increasingly diverse patient populations.
