Teri Johnson was inducted into the Sports and Athletics Category in 2019.
Teri is a longtime physical education teacher at Union City’s James Logan High School and a legendary coach of girls fast-pitch softball. In 33 years leading the Logan Colts, Coach Johnson’s teams amassed 667 victories and an .802 winning percentage. Her teams captured 22 Mission Valley Athletic League titles and made 30 trips to the North Coast Section tournament, winning the tournament five times. She was named California Softball Coach of the Year by both ESPN/Cal-Hi Sports and the National Federation of State High School Associations. Her formula for success has always been team-building and instilling a positive work ethic on and off the field.
