Nazineen Kandahari was inducted into the Emerging Leaders Category in 2020.
Nazineen Kandahari is a student at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in both the Joint Medical Program and the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved, obtaining her Medical Doctorate from UCSF while simultaneously completing a Master of Science at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Born in the Middle East and raised in the Bay Area, Nazineen experienced managing the wellbeing of her refugee family, which ignited her commitment to change the systems perpetuating health disparities. Nazineen is committed to facilitating people’s right to imagine and pursue their healthiest lives.
