Dr. Noha Aboelata is the Founding CEO of Roots Community Health in Oakland. Its mission is to uplift those impacted by systemic inequities and poverty through medical and behavioral health care, health navigation, workforce enterprises, housing, outreach, and advocacy. Roots Community Health was initially created to address troubling health issues in East Oakland. The vision of Roots was to become a community health center serving area residents who need it most. It began as a mobile operation, focusing on members of the community with the greatest need. Health directors have held Dr. Aboelata in high esteem and selected her to serve on the board of the Alameda Alliance for Health. She is a sought after advisor for health care systems and services for California’s prisons, local mayors, county agencies, and private and public health organizations.
