Safety Inspections
Site safety inspections are an important component of your safety program and, in a real sense, should be performed every time you walk through your work area. Formal site inspections are scheduled periodically, at least annually, after an accident, or when a suspected hazard has been identified (Cal/OSHA Standard 3203, Injury and Illness Prevention Program). Safety Inspections may be performed by safety professionals, managers or supervisors, Agency/Department Safety Coordinators, Safety Committee members, or anyone who is concerned about safety. Each worksite should be inspected at least annually by the Agency/Department Safety Coordinator and Safety Committee.
If you have any questions or would like assistance in safety inspections, please contact Risk Management at 510-272-6920.
