Personal Safety Awareness
Alameda County strives to maintain an environment that is free from threats, intimidation and physical violence. As a part of our continuing commitment to employee safety, we offer resources that can help you avoid becoming a victim of a crime when you are at working in the field or when out and about away from work.

Training
Personal Safety Awareness Training is offered by the Alameda County Sheriff's Department through the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) Division at (510) 667-7770. Please contact your Agency/Department Safety Coordinator who will coordinate with the Sheriff's Department.
If a more customized training than that which is offered by COPPS is desired, Business Emergency Safety Training (BEST), (510) 530-2378, offers customized training programs for a fee.
